For 24 years, Kerun has weathered the storms and reaped the rewards of its perseverance. From modest beginnings to becoming a leader in the industrial fluid sector, Nanjing Kerun Lubricants Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Nanjing Kerun") has climbed the peaks of industrial fluid technology. In doing so, it has filled numerous gaps in the domestic market and risen to become a national-level "Little Giant" specializing in niche technologies, earning multiple honors along the way.
A Humble Start
In the 1990s, China saw a surge in market-driven growth, bringing immense vitality to the economy. However, the domestic market for heat treatment quenching fluid was nearly monopolized by a few foreign brands, and the level of heat treatment technology was significantly behind.
Driven by a strong sense of national pride, Ms. Nie Xiaolin, who was a researcher at the time, embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in Nanjing with just 50,000 yuan in savings. She aimed to apply her knowledge to promote advanced heat treatment technologies. On March 12, 2000, Nanjing Kerun was officially established, marking the beginning of its journey as a national brand.

Overcoming Challenges
The path to growth is always fraught with challenges and setbacks. For example, in the early days, a fire broke out in a nearby furniture factory, rapidly spreading towards Kerun’s facilities. The production workshop and oil tank area were separated by only a single wall, posing a severe risk—if the fire reached the oil tanks, the consequences would have been disastrous. Another challenge involved severe cash flow issues due to delays in receivables and the need for further investment in raw materials, putting the company’s survival at risk. Fortunately, under Ms. Nie’s leadership and the collective efforts of the entire team, such difficulties were overcome one by one.
Achieving Success
Today, Nanjing Kerun has become a leading enterprise in the domestic industrial fluid sector. The company’s product lines cover six major areas. These products are widely used in industries such as automotive manufacturing and parts, aerospace, marine vessels, rail transportation, and construction machinery.

During this journey, Kerun has achieved numerous milestones, including passing multiple national-level certifications, leading or participating in the development of over 20 national and industry standards, and securing more than 70 valid invention patents. The company has also undertaken several R&D and industrialization projects supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Province, and Nanjing City.
